The UCSB Stem Cell Core Facility: The William K. Bowes Jr Laboratory for
Stem Cell Biology and Engineering – A CIRM Shared Resources Laboratory
The Stem Cell Core provides equipment, training and technical assistance in support of pluripotent stem
cell culture to both internal and external investigators, including both nonprofit and for-profit entities.
The Core has been expanded and enhanced via a grant from the California Institute for Regenerative
Medicine (CIRM) in 2024.
